I received the Compost Genie bin through the Stellar Product Testing Panel and I’m never going to stop using it! It holds almost a week’s worth of composting for our family of 5, so fewer trips outside — and I could go much longer since THERE IS NO ODOR. The foot pedal makes it easy to open and my hands don’t get the top dirty, so the bin always looks clean and new. And when it comes to changing the bag, the system is a cinch: a new bag is ready to go, so no fumbling around, and it takes almost no time at all.

I received the product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel but I would recommend it to any one out there! Prior to receiving this product I was using a countertop bin, so I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one because of the size difference. It honestly made me compost more. The foot petal was easy to use and the bags held a lot more than I was used to. I loved opening it hands free. And I loved that it didn’t smell— even when it was opened!

We have been searching for a functional yet elegant solution to our compost waste disposal issue and we have found it in the Compost Genie. The White color looks gorgeous. The product is very simple to put together and use. There is no smell at all, and we have been filling this up to the top twice a week. The compostable bags are very strong. The feature that the next bag to use pulls up automatically when you are ready to dispose the current bag is very smart.

I have been loving the Compost Genie bin and composting my kitchen waste way more than I have with other items. This bin holds a large quantity of items, decreasing the frequency of bag changes. Even though I have only had to change bags weekly, I have yet to notice any smell nor moisture buildup. The design and filter must be working well. The bags are very simple to set up and change, making it hassle free. While I love how the foot pedal makes it hands free, my only complaints is that it sometimes gets stuck, leading to the lid staying open.
